Amazingly clear window camera

I bought 3. I can't believe how clear my backyard looks at night. It's so bright, it looks like it's under stadium lights when all I have is a little LED light over the door. Super clear and it picks up all motions. I have one for the front of the house and one for the side. There is NO glare at all.

Plus, I liked their advertisement. It's hysterical. For the price, try it. You'll buy more, just like I did.

We like all our wyze products

We have several wyze cameras around the outside of our house. It is nice to have some inside the house pointing out so no one can mess with it if seen. Ours points through a window with a screen and still gives us a great picture. Motion detection is usually good and gives us accurate information.

Works well and gives wide views

I got this to monitor a walkway area. Tried the sticking pad for the window but found the view out the window limiting. I angled the camera on my window sill to capture a much broader area. The picture is good quality and event detention is satisfactory

Good for monitoring and recording events

This is easy to install. The picture quality is good. It is not obvious looking from the outside, but if you look carefully you can tell that there is a camera on the window.

We don't need to peek through the blinds to see what's going on outside, as we did before. I can see it using the app on the phone from anywhere.

I wish the SD card video playback had a speed control. Sometimes I want to quickly scan the video for a specific event, but the app can only playback the video at normal speed.

The app also lacks a search function that takes a command and utilize AI to conduct the search. For example, it should be able to locate the piece of video if I ask it to "show the part that a motorcycle passed the front of the camera at high speed."

For the price, this is a good camera with decent functions. There's just some room for improvement.

Not a bad camera for the price.

For those that claim you need a paid subscription to view videos on SD card, just click the SD CARD icon when camera is being viewed on app and it will bring up the recorded timeline of videos on SD card. I have mine set for continuous recording instead of motion events only.

I bought this one to replace an older version of their camera and the video quality already seems to be better. I like the easy to install window mount(two included) also.

I enjoy my BLINK outdoor ones a little better than the WYZE ones but it's nice not to have to change out a battery every few months like I do with BLINKs outdoor cameras

Great camera for the price

I needed a cheap camera for my house and immediately fell in the love with this one. The set up was so quick and easy. It immediately connected to the app and WiFi with zero issues. The sound quality is very good, I don't have need for the sound but it works no issues. I picked it cause it was one of the cheapest options and I'm not mad. The camera quality is amazing even at night. I've had no reason to make any adjustments since it is attached to my window but they give you an extra pad if you need to move it easily and the cord is so long you really don't have to worry about it. Motion detection is great considering it picks up motion through a dense tree.

Excellent buy

Love these. It took some help from the Wyze Tech Department to get the firmware updated but they work wonderfully. Easy to adjust with app, so they aren't notifying you when the wind blows a bush.

Clear view with zero glare!

I used to have a Wyze Cam OG mounted on my window to monitor the front yard, but the nighttime reflection from the indoor lights made the footage barely usable. I switched to the Wyze Window Camera, and the difference is sooooo obvious! There is absolutely zero glass glare now, and the night view is incredibly clear. On top of that, the installation was super quick and easy. Highly recommended if you need to shoot through glass!

Discreet Motion Power

Window Camera was a great buy . I have it behind a reflective screen on my window and it still works very well infact you cannot see it at all from the outside. Detection is good I can see when people are coming down my alleyway and to my door. Wyze will save the clips of the movements and tell you the time stamps. Quality is decent. Only thing that stinks is the fact I can't have audio outside to hear but for just a viewing point it's fantastic

Good option and good price

I wanted a doorbell camera, but to have one professionally installed into brick was cost prohibitive, and we don't have the expertise to do it ourselves. This camera provides a view of our driveway but not our front door, so if our doorbell rings unexpectedly, we can at least see if a car or truck is in front of our house, and if we don't answer (I never do!) we can see them as they walk away. Four stars for the ease of installation and price. I deducted one star because I purchased an SD card for recording but it's not working, and I have to troubleshoot that. The company is aware of its customers having issues with SD card recording.

New Hobby!!!!

I bought six of these, and go all the way around the house. My mother is 86 years old, and loves to sit and watch these cameras all day! We live out in the country, and she sees foxes, squirrels, birds, deer, and stray animals. You cannot beat the price for these window cams, and you don't even need a subscription! The quality and color from these cams are incredible!

Better than Ring Doorbell Camera

I never write reviews on Amazon but had to for this camera. In my opinion it's better picture quality than Ring. I like how it highlights what it picks up. The night vision looks like daytime. No issues so far but would definitely recommend if you're looking for a simple indoor camera. Easy setup/install.

Very Happy!!

I purchased this to find out who keeps hitting my mailbox. Its works well. When I get early morning deliveries from Amazon, I can easily see the van and the driver. Super impressive considering I have no house lights on and its a dark street. It seems you do have to purchase the Wyse service to get some of the features but it's only a few dollars a month. You get a free 30 trial to check it out.

Great Cameras and a good price

Camera technology has come a long way and these Wyze window cams work great. I just wish that their instructions would be more clear on how to reject the subscription options during set up. The cameras do a great job at night with no reflections and creating light, when there is hardly any ambient light available.

First Class System, Except…

Wow! Not sure what Wyze tinkered with but these window (v4) cameras are amazing; daytime AND nighttime clarity, proper notifications, and setup was a breeze (joined my unlimited plan seamlessly)! Word of caution: These are marketed as window cams (and work well) EXCEPT if your window is not aligned with what you want to capture you may be disappointed as you cannot aim/adjust the camera).

Super easy mount system works great

The Wyze Window Camera offers a practical option for monitoring outdoor activity from inside the home. The HD video quality is consistent, and the upgraded color night vision provides clearer detail than standard infrared, especially when there's some ambient light outside. The camera is designed specifically for window placement, so reflections are minimized when the included light-blocking accessories are used correctly.

Simple mounting, clean the inside of the window, attach the sticker, and then place the camera against the sticker. The camera holds well and if the window is clean on the outside too, the image is excellent. It is a flat mount, so the camera cannot be angled to face anywhere but straight ahead with this mount style. Keep that in mind when choosing a window.

Setup through WiFi is straightforward, and the app interface makes it easy to review clips or adjust settings. It does not work with the older Android app though, which is annoying as I do use a very old phone. It works fine with the newer app on newer phones and I was able to install it with that. Motion detection works reliably and it's nice not having to worry about tampering or weather issues that outdoor cameras have. While this model is best suited for users who want an indoor-mounted solution without drilling or outdoor wiring, it performs well for basic home security needs.

Better than advertised!!

Very easy to setup and use. Looks great. Connected to my wifi with no problem. The picture quality is very good. The night vision is honestly the best I have ever seen in a camera. To top it off, it's less than $40. Phenomenal!! I will be buying many more to put all over my property.

I am very pleased, a nice alternative to outdoor cameras and wiring.

As these are my first 3 cameras, I am very pleased with them. As someone else said, I do not think they could get a license plate but from my angles I might not get them anyway. I think the price was very good $35 each, in fact the SD cards I got were more than the cameras themselves. I did get the advanced plan for $20 a month.

I would say the whole system with cards and plan will run around $500 for me this year. But if I ad one more camera it won't change the sub price.

On a side note I did get from a 3rd party on Amazon a 33 foot cable that I needed as my foyer didn't have outlets.

Camera review after 1 month 5/5 Favorite window cam so far

So I don't often write reviews, but I've been looking for a window camera that:

1. Can see at night and doesn't have IR window glare 2. Can monitor or pull up on my computer or iPhone as needed 3. Has a good application and easy to use (the AI was a bonus with this camera)

This camera hits all of the marks. The night mode although not perfect it is exactly what I wanted, I'll post some pics so you can see what the quality looks like I liked it so much I bought another one and hands down my favorite so far highly recommend for a budget friendly easy to use security camera.

Also, I'm not big for yearly subscriptions but I loved this camera so much I bought the 100$ a year option and its worth every dollar. Def very happy with the purchase.

A Good Budget Camera

Easy installation and works without a subscription! I did purchase an SD card to be able to review recordings, but I don't have a subscription and it works fine. I purchased two - one for the front yard and one for the back. Both are working well and the night vision works surprisingly well. Also, I will say this looks pretty inconspicuous from the outside. If you're looking for a low cost budget camera and have a window that faces what you want to watch, this is probably a great alternative for you. I can see apartment dwellers using this to keep an eye on their vehicle in a parking lot. Recommend.

Relatively economical and easy to set up

I bought this Wyze window cam as a more economical alternative to replace a Panasonic Home Hawk window cam that stopped working. Personally, I hate subscriptions but decided to see if the SD card only option would meet my needs. I found it relatively easy to set up, though the pairing process required repeated tries. Also, I had to configure 2.4G on my Wi-Fi since this camera doesn't work with 5G. I'm using it with a Samsung A53 5g and it seems compatible.

The camera is very lightweight and seems like it will stay on the window okay. The mounting sticker adheres well to clean window. The image is pretty clear, though the coverage is not as wide as provided by the old cam. The night view works well with the street lighting.

I happened to have a new 16gb micro SD card on hand, so I put that in for now to learn how the recording and saving works. I set the camera to record 24/7. I think this is a relatively good option for a window cam. The quality seems decent. At the current price, I could set up 4 cams for the price of the one I replaced. If asked by family or friends, I'd say give it a try if they find the specs and terms acceptable.

A worthy upgrade over the v3 for window based use cases

I replaced a wyze cam v3 mounted on a window with the old wyze window mount with the new window cam for two main reasons. First the new cam has a wider lens so it's better at night. Second the new cam handles glare better so the image quality of the nighttime video is better. The new cam also supports a larger SD card size of up to 512 GB versus the v3 cam limit of 256 which only gave me 3 to 4 weeks of continuous video. I expect to be able to double that with the new cam. Finally the new Velcro window mount is a much better solution than the old wyze window mount. My v3 cam would occasionally fall out of the old mount. The v3 cam had a much longer power cord but the window cam has a 10 foot one which (barely) met my needs. Finally if you are going to get a large SD card you need to be careful to get one that's specifically labelled as being high endurance. I tried a normal high speed card and it didn't work reliably. I replaced that with a high endurance one and it works great. All in all this is a worthy upgrade over the v3 solution if you are using it in a window.

Great HD camera.

This was easy to install on a window and surprisingly, the video is really good at night even though it has no infrared lights like the V4 cameras. It is only HD 1080P while the V4 cameras are 2.5K quad HD so they are better resolution. It has no outside audio as it is not outside and no light or siren. So for what it is meant for, you do not want to install anything outside, it's really good. If you want the best, go with the V4 cameras outside.

Wyze has made many improvements on the phone app since this came out and the app is really nice. You do get more function if you pay the yearly fee but even with no payment, recording to a SD card works well. Without payment it does not differentiate between various events like a person as opposed to a car so you might want to pay. For one camera probably not worth it but if you have several cameras it might be worth it.

So bottom line is if you simply cannot put a camera outside, this is a great camera for the resolution it has.
