Wyze Scale S

1. Scale S has added a baby/pet mode and a smart greeting mode that can say "HELLO" in the scale's LED display.

2. The heart rate is measured by standing on the scale with bare feet for the original Scale. In Scale S, we change the way to measure the heartbeat by covering the finger on the phone's camera. Both can provide accurate results compared to other oximeters, bands, apple watches, etc.

3. While the original Scale uses ITO glasses to measure the body resistance, Scale S has four metal electrodes to measure it. Both measurements are accurate. But the ITO covered glass design makes the original Scale looks more premium. (Lead to the price difference)

14-100 years old. Anyone can use Wyze Scale S to take their weight measurement, no matter their age. Body composition (Body Fat %, Water %, etc.) is only available for people between the ages of 14 and 100 years old. Children under 14 and seniors over 100 will not be able to access the body composition features.

Wyze Scale S has a weight range of 11-400 lbs (5-180 kg).

Check if all of the personal information i.e., Body Type, Year of Birth, Height, Athlete Mode are correct. In the Wyze app, tap on your scale device then Settings > Users > (your Nickname).

When you replace the batteries, the time on the scale will reset. Connect to your scale in the Wyze app to sync up the time.

Yes, but it will only measure your weight. If you step on the scale with socks and/or shoes on, Wyze Scale/Scale S will only be able to measure your weight. To take your other body composition measurements (ex. body fat %, water %) you will need to step on the scale with both feet while barefoot.

Can Body Impedance Analysis (BIA) affect my pacemaker? 

As many as you want! There is no limit to how many Wyze scales you can add to one Wyze account. Put a Wyze Scale S in every bathroom, and in your home gym, too.

No, only use the scale on a hard, flat surface. Carpets and rugs can affect the calibration of your scale, giving you inaccurate measurements. Place your Wyze Scale S on a hard, flat surface like tile or hardwood flooring before use.

Not wet, but damp is fine. Wet feet may affect accuracy. They also can make the scale slippery and not safe to use. Only step on Wyze Scale S with dry or slightly damp feet, and only when the surface of the glass is not wet. If wet, wipe down the scale and your feet before stepping on.

Consult your physician first. By default, Wyze Scale S sends a weak (and safe) electric current through the body for Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). There are no known risks with using BIA while pregnant, but body composition results may not be accurate.

Set the scale to Pregnancy/Weight-Only Mode to only measure your weight. Unlike other smart scales, Wyze Scale S has a unique feature that lets you disable the BIA measurement entirely to only measure weight.

Samsung health integration is on our roadmap. Samsung has closed their website for partnership registration since Sep 2020, but we are on their waitlist to get in. Once they have re-opened the gate, we will enter. 

Home-use smart scales are designed for reference. Wyze Scale S uses bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) to estimate body composition, particularly body fat. BIA is a popular method to estimate body fat percentage, but there are many other methods available.

While a good estimate, the data calculated by your Wyze Scale S may vary from those given by professional-grade medical instruments or methods.

Tap on the surface of the scale to activate it, find the UNIT/RESET button on the back of the scale. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds. The LED display will show “CLr” when the scale is reset.

On the back of Wyze Scale S, locate the bumpy area over the battery compartment. With two thumbs, press downward on the center of the compartment cover, away from the UNIT/RESET button.

Based on Wyze’s reliability tests Bluetooth range, Scale S can maintain a steady BLE connection with the app in a range of 32 ft/ 10 m without the impact of physical obstacles or the other wireless devices.
