What is Wyze Stories?
Wyze Stories is an AI-powered feature included with Cam Unlimited Pro that groups related motion events across multiple cameras into a single, summarized "story." Instead of multiple notifications over time of someone watering plants in the backyard, you'll only get one "Person watering plants."
Is there a delay in notifications?
Yes. Turning on Wyze Stories introduces a brief delay for the notification. This is to provide enough time for Wyze AI to collect and group event videos into one story. Our testing group thought this was well worth the trade off.If you don’t want the delay, you can remove the camera from Stories.
Do all my cameras have to be included?
Nope, you can exclude cameras from your Stories. BUT cameras not included in Stories will send more general “Person, Pet, Package” notifications, NOT descriptive alerts.
What happened to Descriptive Alerts?
What happened to Descriptive Alerts?Descriptive Alerts (and the NBD filter) are now upgraded into Wyze Stories, giving you a simpler experience. Only the cameras included in Stories will get full detailed notifications and preference filtering.
Can I personalize the importance score?
It's in the works! In a future update, you will be able to train the AI on exactly which types of notifications you want to receive for even better results. For now, the AI makes the judgment call based on patterns it recognizes from tens of millions of interactions in the training data.
Is it kind of expensive for Wyze?
It takes a ton of tokens to make the most advanced AI in home camera history. This isn't a profitable venture for us...yet.
The Wyze mission has always been to make great technology accessible to everyone. Over time we believe costs will come down and everyone will win, but we don’t want to sit around and wait before providing this experience to everyone who wants it.
Does it work on all Wyze Cams?
Wyze Stories does not work with Wyze Cam v1, Wyze Doorbell v1, or Wyze Cam Outdoor v1 or v2. All other cameras are good to go.
