Will it really stay stuck to my window?

The mounting sticker uses a hook-and-loop fastener system that holds the camera firmly against clean glass. We have tested it through summer heat, winter cold, and direct sun. The bigger sticker is intentional. It is also what blocks indoor glare. Two extra stickers come in the box if you ever want to move it.

Do I need a subscription to use it?

No. Live view, two-way audio, motion alerts, and 24/7 local recording (with a microSD card) all work subscription-free. Cam Plus and Cam Unlimited unlock advanced features like cloud event recording, AI descriptive alerts, and Person/Vehicle/Package detection. They are optional, not required.

How is night vision possible without IR?

Traditional IR illuminators reflect off glass and ruin the image. We removed them entirely. Instead, the Window Cam uses an F1.0 aperture (4x more light than a typical f/2.0 lens) and a back-side illuminated CMOS sensor that is hypersensitive to ambient light. Streetlight, porch light, or moonlight is all it needs to produce full-color footage.

Can I mount it on a window with a screen?

We do not recommend it. The screen mesh creates a visible pattern in your footage and reduces light sensitivity. The camera is designed to mount directly to clean glass.

What is the difference between this and the old Wyze window mount accessory?

The old window mount was an adapter that let you stick a regular Wyze Cam to a window. But those cameras still had IR lights and a spotlight, which caused major glare. The Window Cam is purpose-built: no IR, no spotlight, wider aperture, redesigned mount, and an extra-long 10ft USB cable. It is the difference between a workaround and a finished product.

How do I remove the sticker without damaging the window?

Warm the adhesive with a hair dryer for 30 seconds, then gently lift one corner with a plastic scraper or credit card. Any residue cleans up with a dab of isopropyl alcohol. Glass will be completely clean.
