Wyze User Experience Improvement Program

Delivering products that exceed your expectations has always been the mission of Wyze Labs, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, "Wyze", "we" or "us"). To help us better understand your needs while using Wyze products and services, and to continuously enhance our offerings, we invite you to participate in our User Experience Improvement Program.

Please carefully read the following statement before proceeding.

By joining this program, you acknowledge that you have thoroughly read and fully agree to these terms and conditions. Users under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian supervision when reviewing these terms. We want to remind you that as our products and services evolve, these terms and conditions may be updated from time to time. When changes occur, we will prominently display them within our products or on relevant pages to notify you of such modifications.

If you choose not to participate in the program or disagree with any changes to these terms, you may opt out at any time (please see "Program Participation andWithdrawal" section below for details). Continued participation in the program following any updates will be considered acceptance of the revised terms.

Information Collection

When you choose to enroll in our User Experience Improvement Program, we collect the following information to enhance our products and services and improve your overall experience. Your participation is entirely voluntary and requires your explicit consent. This data is transmitted securely and exclusively to Wyze.

Device and Application Analytics

Mobile Application Information:

  • Device information including device model, operating system version, screen resolution, language and region settings, and system configurations
  • Application data including app version, feature usage patterns, and performance metrics
  • Unique identifiers including device identifiers (such as advertising IDs or device-specific identifiers) used solely for analytics purposes
  • Network information including IP address, connection type (Wi-Fi/cellular), network performance metrics, and connectivity quality
  • Diagnostic data including crash reports, error logs, debugging information, and technical performance data to identify and resolve issues

IoT Device Information:

  • Device specifications including device model, firmware version, AI model version, device serial numbers, MAC addresses, activation date and operational status
  • Performance and diagnostic data including connection stability, video streaming quality, response times, error logs, crash reports, buffer duration, latency indicators, and frame processing metrics
  • Usage patterns including AI detection events, motion alerts, smart light activations, feature utilization frequency, alarm events, and device configuration preferences
  • Connectivity information including network connection status, connection quality metrics, recovery events, and general geographic coordinates

Please note that all device information and log data collected are non-personally identifiable information, which cannot by itself identify an individual. We aggregate this information to help us provide more useful features to users and better understand which aspects of our products and services are most valuable. If we combine non-personal information with personal information, the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined.

Information Usage

Wyze is committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding data protection. We maintain strict confidentiality of all collected information and use it exclusively for product and service improvements, including analyzing trends, usage patterns, and activities to identify and address errors while optimizing performance for an enhanced user experience. The collected information will not be disclosed to any third parties unrelated to these improvement purposes.

Program Participation and Withdrawal

Users can opt in or out of the Wyze User Experience Improvement Program by going to Account > About > User Experience Improvement Program in the Wyze app.
