The power supply of Wyze Air Purifier is AC 120V / 60 Hz. In other areas outside of the US and Canada, a voltage converter may be needed. Some app features such as outdoor air quality monitoring may not be available outside of the US and Canada.

Because air pollution is a pervasive and continuous problem, it's best to leave your air purifier on all day. Air pollutants like pollen, traffic gas, and smoke, can transfer to your home from outside while others like cooking, cleaning, and furniture off-gas throughout the day are generated inside. Wyze Air Purifier is designed to run around the clock and keep the pollution level low 24/7. If you run Wyze Air Purifier at the max fan speed, 24 hours a day, for an entire month, the energy cost is only around $3.50. 

We recommend running your Wyze Air Purifier continuously to circulate the air and reduce the air pollution level. In a home with an HVAC system circulating air, the air coming out of your vents will be significantly dirtier than the air in the room with the air purifier—especially considering most homes rarely have their air ducts cleaned. Wyze Air Purifier is energy efficient and quiet when the pollution level is low, so you can keep your air clean 24/7.

Wyze Air Purifier is CARB certified, which means it does not exceed ozone emission limits. Our units do not use any ionization-based components which could generate harmful byproducts. 

Wyze Air Purifier (regardless of the filter equipped) is designed to remove both particulate and gaseous pollutants commonly found at home, including dust, pollen, mold, pet allergens, viruses & bacteria, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), odors, and tobacco smoke.

Wyze Air Purifier comes with one of three interchangeable options. Wyze Air Purifier with Allergen Filter is considered to be sufficient to handle common pollutants found in most homes. The Wildfire Filter is particularly effective against smoke generated from wildfire, industrial processes, and traffics. The Formaldehyde Filter is designed to be extra efficient for the removal of chemical gas such as VOCs, and even formaldehyde, thanks to its manganese catalyst material. VOCs are commonly found in household products, e.g., cleaning agents, paints, varnishes, furniture, and wax, and generated in activities such as cleanings, applying cosmetics, and smoking. The formaldehyde filter is recommended for homes with smokers, new constructions or remodeling, or new products such as new furniture.

It’s tempting to think we are safe from the dangers of air pollution when in the sanctity of our own homes. However, indoor air is on average 4x to 5x more polluted than outdoor air, according to the US EPA. Outdoor air will travel inside at certain times, and local allergens and auto emissions will also make their way into your home and become trapped due to poor ventilation. We recommend using air purifiers for short-term and long-term health benefits, regardless of your home's distance from outdoor pollution sources.

The filter life and performance could vary depending on usage and your home environment. In general, we recommend replacing your air purifier filter at least every 6 months to maintain the best performance.  Your Wyze App will let you know when it is time to replace the filter. 

If you only have one air purifier, the ideal place to put the air purifier is the room in your home where you spend the most time out of each day. For most people, this will either be your bedroom or living room. Try to keep your unit at least 1 foot away from walls or furniture and avoid blockage of air entrance and exit vents. This will allow air to circulate properly and the air purifier to operate more efficiently.

Wyze Air Purifier is effective in rooms up to 550 sq. ft (42 m2). For slightly larger rooms, you can run the unit at a higher fan speed for longer periods of time to achieve the same cleaning performance.

Setting up your Wyze Air Purifier is as simple as removing all of the packaging, plugging it in, and connecting it to the Wyze app. But we've added a little more detail in this guide.

Before setting up Wyze Air Purifier:
  1. Remove the air purifier from the packaging.
  2. Turn the air purifier over to locate the orange filter cover. Rotate and remove the cover.
  3. Take out the pre-installed filter and remove the plastic packaging. You must remove all packaging and wrapping before proceeding.
  4. Re-install the now plastic-free filter into the air purifier.
  5. Put the filter cover back in place and rotate to close.
  6. Plug the air purifier into a power outlet. The device should make a beep sound and both the screen and indicator lights should light up for about 2 seconds.The On/Off indicator should stay half-lit to indicate that the air purifier is powered and that the device is in standby mode.
  7. Press the On/Off button to get the air purifier ready for a network connection. The device should make a beep sound and the Wi-Fi icon on the air purifier’s screen should flash.

Tip: If the Wi-Fi icon is not flashing, reset the air purifier Wi-Fi by pressing and holding the Auto and Speed button simultaneously for at least 3 seconds.

To set up your Wyze Air Purifier:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap Home, then tap the plus sign + on the top right.
  2. On the Add menu, tap Device.
  3. Tap Home > Wyze Air Purifier.
  4. Tap Begin Preparation.
  5. Have you done the steps above, under "Before setting up"? If you have not, tap Begin and follow along in the Wyze app. If you have, tap Already Installed and continue below.
  6. The Wyze app should immediately begin searching for the air purifier. On the “Select the number shown on your Air Purifier” page, select your device.
  7. Wait for the app to pair with the purifier.
  8. Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  9. Enter the password for your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  10. Wait for the air purifier to finish connecting. Not connecting? Check out: Wyze Air Purifier Setup Troubleshooting
  11. Name your air purifier.
  12. You’re all set. Go on, enjoy the fresh air!

Problem:

Your Wyze Air Purifier does not complete setup or gets stuck at the “Select your network” step in the Wyze app.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  1. Confirm your Wyze app is up to date. Go to the Account tab > tap About. The app version will be listed beneath the Wyze Logo. You can compare your app version to the most up-to-date version listed on our Release Notes and Firmware Page.
  2. Make sure that you’re following the steps provided in the Wyze Air Purifier Setup Guide.
  3. Take the filter out of the air purifier and check that the plastic has been removed from the filter.
  4. Make sure that the filter lid at the bottom of the air purifier is locked properly. Try unlocking and locking the filter lid to confirm this.
  5. Try moving your phone closer to the air purifier then press Try Again.
  6. Check that the Wi-Fi icon is flashing. If it is not flashing, press and hold the Auto Mode and Fan Speed buttons on your air purifier simultaneously for at least 3 seconds until the indicator lights flash.
  7. Check sure that your air purifier is turned on. The display should be on and show the current AQI.
  8. Check that your device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  9. Toggle your device’s Bluetooth off and then back on.
  10. Check that location permissions are enabled for your device. You can check this by going into your device’s settings.
  11. Factory reset the air purifier. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
  12. Perform a Wi-Fi reset. Press and hold the Auto Mode and Fan Speed button until the Wi-Fi icon starts to flash.Set up the air purifier as new.
