This note applies to visitors to our website at www.wyze.com and users of the Wyze Lab products, who are, in each case, based in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland or the UK.

  • Personal Information. “Personal Information,” as defined by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), means a variety of data that identifies or can identify a particular unique user or device (for example, names, addresses, cookie identifiers, mobile device identifiers, precise location data and biometric data), and is different and broader than the U.S.-based term “Personally-Identifiable Information” that we use in this Privacy Policy. For visitors who access the Company Site from the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK, elements of Usage Data and Tracking Data — such as a Visitor’s full Internet Protocol (IP) address, and the information that we associate with a unique identifier (like a cookie or other tracking technology) — are Personal Information under the GDPR. For visitors who access the Company Site from the United States and other jurisdictions, however, Usage Data and Tracking Data are considered non-personally identifiable, and are therefore not Personal Information.
  • Legal grounds for processing your Personal Information when accessing the Company Site. For visitors who access the Company Site from the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK, we process your Personal Information for the purposes set out in Section A.2. on the following legal grounds:
    • You have provided your consent;
    • It is necessary for our contractual relationship;
    • The processing is necessary for us to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations; and/or
    • The processing is in our or a relevant data controllers’ legitimate interest, for instance, where we use data to protect the security and integrity of our systems and to provide services or other benefits.
